NBCUniversal Media, LLC is an American mass media and entertainment conglomerate owned by Comcast and headquartered at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. NBCUniversal is primarily involved in the media and entertainment industry. It is named for its most significant divisions, the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) – one of the United States' Big Three television networks – and the major Hollywood film studio Universal Pictures. It also has a significant presence in broadcasting through a portfolio of domestic and international properties, including USA Network, Syfy, Bravo, Telemundo, Universal Kids, and the streaming service Peacock. Via its Universal Parks & Resorts division, NBCUniversal is also the third-largest operator of amusement parks in the world.

In November 2017 Gina De Marco, a former NBCUniversal employee in Los Angeles, claimed the media conglomerate failed to fully investigate alleged sexual harassment by her direct supervisor, which created a hostile work environment. Recently INDEPENDENT published that longtime Hollywood executive Ron Meyer left his job at NBC Universal, after what he described as efforts to extort him over an affair he had with a woman. Meyer, who has worked at Universal for 25 years, made the announcement on Tuesday. Last August 6th, LA Times reported that NBC Universal cut ties with NBC Entertainment Chairman Paul Telegdy amid a broad reorganization of the company’s TV team. The New York media company also announced a new structure for its vast television empire, merging it's broadcast and cable TV programming units. As part of the overhaul, longtime Comcast executive Matt Strauss will lead the direct-to-consumer TV unit, which includes the recently launched Peacock streaming service. Veteran programmer Frances Berwick has received a major promotion that puts her in charge of strategic and business elements of NBC as well as the entertainment cable channels.

"The leadership team is disgraceful. Allows the pig of a man at the top get away with murder. Multiple people have walked out and paid hush money to cover up managements indiscretions. In this day and age - the fact that female office harassment is alive and well, baffles me."

"Year One: I had an issue with my white counterparts constantly touching my hair even when I told them not to. When I told my boss (white as well), she said, "oh, they just like it, don't take it personally." When I tried to explain to that same boss that this was a form of racial microaggression, she cut me off mid-sentence to say it wasn't racist and dismissed the conversation. I, also, experienced wage discrimination. They updated my pay but were mad at us for discussing our pay. Year Two: If your supervisor does not like you, then you're screwed. My manager did not like me, and it was evident. She began giving away my projects to other coordinators even though I was working on them. I was planning on an event for a project we were working on, and she took my ideas and gave it to the other coordinator to organize. This was experience I needed to move forward in my career, so it was a slap in the face to have her do that. When I confronted her about it, she said, "oh, you looked busy, so I gave it to her." Yes! I was busy working on the project that I give you updates on every week. When were you going to tell me??? Also, I applied for an internal role and a recruiter broke confidentiality so she could gossip about me to other recruiters who had nothing to do with the role. You're not supposed to talk about internal HR candidates to other HR employees because you never know whose applying. She got promoted the year afterward. Year Three: Year three was the worse, so I'm not going to go into detail. In short, I got a promotion and the worst pay raise I have ever seen. I was sold a job and told I would be busy just to sit at my desk for hours with nothing to do. I am a fast worker so every time they sent me assignments to "keep busy" I'd finished it quickly. Nothing I did contributed to my growth professionally. I would create work for myself and it still was not enough. I honestly wasted my time for that entire year. To make things better, my new team villainized me for having a disability and continuously used micro-aggressions towards me. Overall: NBC is not as great as they make it seem. If you're Black, don't work here. They pay low and do not value you. You will see a white person with less experience and accomplishments surpass you all because of their race. Their benefits suck for the pay they're giving you. They are not as a diverse as they make it seem. If it was not for them acquiring Telemundo, I do not think they would have a lot of POC's at the company."

"This company would not be for only Jurassic Park so all the money goes there. Otherwise they are only hanging on with their classics, worst themed park ever and on small unsuccessful branches. 70/80% of the workforce are contractors. There are 7-10 divisions with alternating LAYOFFS -beware. The people that disappear are ethnics, over 40, and the unattractive. Managers have a field day with contractors - lots of sexual harassment going on but contractors have no rights and are expendable. If you get hired the manager must be a related to upper upper management, best friend or love interest. Welcome to a boys club! Women are paid less 10K in staff jobs and in entertainment the gap is easy $10MM-$15MM. Look at the numbers! Serious sex discrimination going on here."

"When there is an IT issue, either you have to figure it out for yourself or it can take days to have the issue solved if you’re lucky. There is no transparency and lack of work life balance. There is also no structured processes, which I was shocked being that nbc is such a big media company. Also, no room for advancement unless you really know someone."

They turnover their teams all of the time. If you chooses to build a career here get a multi-year contract, not a one year contract or you will be gone in one year. If you are one of them you are golden. If not, hurry up and just get out of there. I would never work there again in any capacity. "I, like so many others have purchased forever owned classes that I now have no access too. My understanding from the 1 email I received was that they were going to close for a couple of months and then re-open, I never received any other type of email stating they were closing forever but they still took my monthly subscription money. I only paid a monthly fee so I would be able to choose 3 classes to keep on a quarterly basis, they cheated me out of my last one so I feel ripped-off. I don't think it is fair that we all paid for something that we were supposed to have "owned" but the only way we can view them is to be a subscriber. I only started the subscription when Craftsy was changing to Bluprint and wanted to get more classes to own as they had done but now I feel I'm wasting my money because I don't have a lot of time to view classes and that is why I liked the thought of owning the class so I could go back and watch at my leisure when I had time. I just feel ripped-off because they kept taking my money monthly and never gave any kind of refund or suspended my payments until all of their red tape issues were resolved. More than likely going to cancel my subscription, waiting to see if they are going to return my forever classes first. Very unhappy with their deceitfulness to their customers."

"I purchased several classes from the "original Craftsy" site. After Craftsy became "Bluprint" and now Bluprint is back to a new Craftsy site, my classes which I already purchased for my "forever" use are no longer available, nor can I receive copies of my Purchased Classes for my use. The new Craftsy will now require additional monthly fees from me to possibly view classes I have already purchased a few years ago. I will now need to pay an ongoing monthly fee just to view classes for which I already paid in full. I want my legally purchased classes. I will not continue to pay repeatedly for something already purchased. Something needs to be done. I think a legal consultation is definitely necessary here."

"I loved Craftsy/Bluprint prior to May. Previously, their customer service was outstanding as was their product. Now, communication has been poor at best. There is no response from customer service, no response to inquires about saving my own forever classes(104 of them!!) Today's email was not encouraging. I have saved as much as I can but it sounds like will loose all of the video demonstrations. Very disappointed!"
